About us
Raelene Martin - Real Deadly One Products & Services Manager.
I'm a Central Australian Aboriginal woman with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Honours Degree in Aboriginal Community Management and Development and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
I established Real Deadly One on the 1st of December 2008.
As a business I delivered Cross Cultural Awareness Training for over 4 years - tailoring the training to meet the needs of the community, public, health services, private enterprise and various other industries.
I have 20 years experience working in government within the Central Australian region.
I have worked within the mining industry, as a qualified beauty therapist, research officer, Aboriginal liaison officer and as an Indigenous community business consultant.
I have also mentored other people in regards to issues affecting Aboriginal people. I have provided tuition to Indigenous students.
My long term goal and vision is to deliver a diverse range of products and services that includes providing education, tourism and consultancy, that enhances community and economic development for Indigenous people.
Further background: I am also a traditional owner for Alice Springs. I lived on a town camp for over a year and for over 20 years on an Aboriginal outstation where my partner and I invested and built our own home from the ground up.
I am considered to be an Indigenous leader in Alice Springs. I am a current director of Lhere Artepe Aboriginal Corporation (native title holders of Alice Springs) which I previously did for over 4 years.
I
was an executive officer of Ingkerreke Resource Centre for 10 years.
I have worked as an Aboriginal Liaison Officer for various government agencies servicing an area of over one million square kilometres of Central Australia that included Communities of the APY Lands of S.A. and Ngaanyatjarra Lands of W.A.. I am familiar with over 60 Central Australian Aboriginal Communities and many of the Top End Communities of the Northern Territory and Western Australia and the cultural protocols associated with each. The majority of these communities had experienced decades of passive welfare and neglect associated with various government policies of the time. It was this experience that motivated me to undertake 4 years of post graduate studies to get qualifications to work with businesses, service providers, Indigenous organisations and communities to try to make a difference.
My website and business cards are all proudly made and designed by Real Deadly One Products & Services
